I think what I’m realizing is that I am not here to be attractive for anyone else.
My body is not the object of your desire.
It is not for you to shape, criticize, shame, or own.
My body is my vessel, my home. You have no ownership over it, and you never will.
I am not here to satisfy your gaze.
I am not here to meet your desire.
I am not here to have your children or carry on your legacy,
I will build a legacy of my own.
I am not here to meet your fantasy of what a woman should be.
I am not here to be any definition or label that you have of me.
I don’t need you to think I’m beautiful, because my expression of beauty is for myself and myself alone.
I don’t need you to think I’m desirable,
Because my expression of passion is for myself and myself alone.
I don’t need you to praise me or fawn at my feet, because every decision I make is for my heart, not for your praises.
Think highly of me or think lowly of me, that is a reflection of your own projection.
It is none of my business.
I am not here to exist for you.
I am simply here to be.
To be an expression of myself.
A vessel for my soul.
My devotion will always be first and foremost to the divine.
You cannot own me.
You cannot define me.
You can try to label me, but you are truly only ever pointing fingers at yourself.
I will not play your limitation game
Nor will I fall for your imitation game
I am here to be
I cannot be shaped or moulded
Unless that directive is coming from myself
Be in awe of me
Or terrified of me
My greatest flaw and perhaps my greatest strength,
Is that no one can define me.
